Korean Skincare Guide for Smooth, Glowy Skin

Korean skincare focuses on barrier repair, cellular turnover, and hydration at every layer—rather than quick fixes.

Below is Young Choi’s curated Korean skincare routine for smooth texture, healthy glow, and skin resilience. You do not need to buy everything at once. Products marked with ★ MUST-HAVE are the true non-negotiables.

★ Skin Booster Device Recommendation

Tip from Young Choi: I personally uses it nightly on Booster Mode, Level 3–4.

DAYTIME ROUTINE

1. Gentle Cleanse - Cleanse with a gentle cleanser or simply warm water. 🚫 No oil cleanser in the morning.

2. Light Toner Pad (Optional) - Skip if your skin feels balanced.

3. Hypochlorous Acid Spray - Helps reduce inflammation and acne-causing bacteria without disrupting the skin barrier.

4. Dry with Clean Towels - Use disposable or freshly laundered face towels to reduce bacterial transfer. Costco has a Korean brand that you can buy in bulk!

5. Moisturizing Toner - Preps the skin for better absorption.

6. Torriden Calming Serum - Excellent for barrier repair and calming redness.

7. Vitamin C Serum - Protects against free radicals and supports collagen. ⚠️ Do not apply over active breakouts.

8. Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum - Supports skin regeneration and elasticity.

9. ★ Moisturizer (Day & Night) - Centellian Madeca Cream - A staple for calming, repairing, and strengthening sensitive or acne-prone skin. One of the most widely used moisturizers in Korea.

10. ★ SPF (Non-Negotiable) - Daily sunscreen is essential to prevent pigmentation, premature aging, and inflammation.

NIGHTTIME ROUTINE

1. Double Cleanse: Oil cleanser + Gentle cleanser

  • If breakouts worsen, pause oil cleanser and use gentle cleanser only

2. Hypochlorous Acid Spray

3. Exfoliate (2–3x/week) - Use with cotton pad. Reduce frequency if sensitivity develops.

4. VT REEDLE SHOT 300 (Night Only) - ⚠️ Tingling is normal. If sensitive, apply every other night.

5. Eye Care - Under Eye Serum + Eye patches - Use eye patches a few nights per week—or nightly if you love them.

6. Acne Treatment (If Needed) - Use only on affected areas. You can spot treat with the VT Reedle Shot 300 on active breakout areas and then apply the Differin gel!

7. Collagen Toner Pads as a Mask (10–15 min) - Apply to cheeks and forehead while doing other tasks.

8. Moisturizing Toner (same as above) or an even more moisturizing toner

9. ★ RETINAL (MUST-HAVE) - Skin cannot properly regenerate or turn over dead cells without a vitamin A derivative.

10. VT PDRN Serum (Holy Grail) - Can also be used in the morning.

11. Medicube Booster Pro + Collagen Jelly - Use Booster Mode Level 3–4 here.

12. Night Cream - Use the same moisturizer as daytime or a thicker option if needed.

Weekly Care

Apply a face mask once weekly for at least 3 hours. I don't like to sleep with it on, but I do make sure to have it on for minimum 3 hours when I'm home! 

This routine can add up—but you don’t have to buy everything at once. Start slowly.
