  • Acupuncture is a traditional East Asian medicine practice that involves inserting thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to balance energy, improve circulation, and promote natural healing.

  • Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions including post-stroke recovery, women’s health issues, cancer, pain management, stress, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, fertility support, post-partum recovery, and sports injury recovery.

  • Most patients feel minimal to no pain during treatment. You may experience a slight tingling or warming/heavy sensation at the insertion points, but overall the treatment is relaxing.

  • Unless we say otherwise, each treatment is typically 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

  • It all depends on you! How severe your symptoms are, how your body reacts to treatment, and whether or not you take our herbal medicine if prescribed – the herbs will help you feel better faster.

  • We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to areas like your arms, legs, and back. Many treatments involve these areas, so sleeves and pant legs that can be rolled up are ideal.

  • During your first session, we will conduct a detailed health consultation, discuss your symptoms and goals, and create a personalized treatment plan. The session typically includes an acupuncture treatment and recommendations for lifestyle adjustments or herbal remedies.

  • Cupping is a therapy that uses suction cups to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing. It’s safe when performed by a licensed practitioner and may leave temporary marks that fade within a few days.

  • We follow strict sanitation protocols, use single-use needles, and thoroughly disinfect treatment rooms between patients. Masks are recommended for certain sessions.

  • Yes! Acupuncture complements many other wellness practices, such as physical therapy, chiropractic care, and fitness routines. Please inform your practitioner of any treatments you’re receiving.

Herbal Medicine & Post-Treatment

  • Yes, we offer consultations to provide personalized recommendations for herbal remedies and nutrition to support your health goals.

  • Our herbal medicines are 100% vegan, all natural, and do not contain animal products.

  • Normal reactions to acupuncture treatments include feeling refreshed, feeling pain-free, feeling a little drowsy and/or lightheaded – but again, all normal! Just make sure to take it easy, drink some water, and get ready for a great night of sleep!

  • Mild side effects, such as slight soreness or fatigue, are normal and temporary. Most patients feel relaxed and rejuvenated after their session. If soreness occurs, it usually resolves within 2-3 days. Gently massaging the area or applying a warm compress can help ease any discomfort.

  • It’s recommended to drink plenty of water, avoid intense exercise for the rest of the day, and take some time to relax and let your body heal.
