Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented part-time Front Desk Staff member to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing an excellent first impression for our patients. You will manage patient scheduling, payment processing, insurance billing, and benefits verification, among other administrative and clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Scheduling:
• Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using our patient management system.
• Payment Processing:
• Process patient payments, handle cash and electronic transactions, and maintain accurate records.
• Insurance Billing & Benefits Verification:
• Verify patient insurance benefits and assist with billing inquiries.
• Submit insurance claims via our EHR system
• Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies and secure pre-authorizations as needed.
• Administrative Support:
• Maintain patient records and update information as required.
• Assist with general office duties, including inventory management and supply ordering.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and provide information regarding our services.
• Customer Service:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Provide support during patient intake and follow-up processes.
• Other Duties:
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the clinic, such as turning rooms over, refilling supplies, emptying trash bins, etc.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certification in office administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role within a medical or wellness setting preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, payment processing systems, and electronic medical records (EMR) considered a plus, but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive patient information.
• Basic understanding of insurance billing procedures is an advantage.
